Sinton Looks to Return to Success of Pirates' Past
SINTON (Kiii Sports) - The Sinton Pirates have a lofty preseason baseball ranking to protect, but the Pirates know they have a lot of work to do to return to the state tournament for the first time in six years.
Coach Gene Kasprzyk's Pirates are ranked #3 in the state in Class 3A to start the year. Sinton is part of a loaded District 30-3A, with all six teams coming off postseason appearance thanks to UIL redistricting. The Pirates are hoping that powerhouse district will get them ready to make a run at a fourth state championship.
Sinton will get a big test early when the Pirates open up their season Monday, February 18th against Calallen, the #1 ranked team in Class 4A.
