Five Including Infant Hospitalized After Saratoga Accident

Posted: Updated:

An accident on the 3100 block of Saratoga sent five people, including an infant, to the hospital just before 8 a.m. Monday.

"According to witnesses, the white private utility truck was heading down westbound Saratoga," said James Garrett of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "For whatever reason, he had to take evasive action and struck one black vehicle from behind, which drove that vehicle into two others."

Police said everyone involved in the accident was transported to the hospital, some with non-serious injuries. In all, everyone is expected to be okay.

The road was shut down for almost two hours. The driver of the white utility truck was cited for failure to control speed.
