Crime Stoppers: Suspect in Multiple Drive-By Shootings

Corpus Christi investigators need your help catching a suspect with a quick trigger finger. They say he was involved in over three drive-by shootings here in our city.

The Corpus Christi Police Department Gang Unit Investigators received three reports of drive-by shootings in three weeks, all at the same location. Fortunately, no one was hurt in any of these events.

The shots were fired on the 2300 block of Howard Street. The most recent shooting happened on Feb. 4, and a witness saw the shooter use a gold Ford Taurus. Investigators now need your help to identify and locate the person responsible for these dangerous crimes.

    Two Edinburg Police Officers are recovering after they were shot Tuesday evening in La Joya as they attempted to serve a capital murder warrant. The suspect in the shooting, 29-year-old Joaquin Cibrian, was shot and killed following an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement. Cibrian was arrested in September of last year in Alice for allegedly using city equipment and materials to make extra cash. He was a city employee at the time.More >>
