Citadel Shield 2013 Exercise to Prepare for Worst at NASCC
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
An exercise to prepare for worst-case scenarios was held Wednesday at Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi.
Called Citadel Shield 2013, the exercise is designed to train and make sure Navy security forces are ready for any threat that could happen at the base. Over the next two weeks, similar exercises like it will be going on at military installations around the country.
Also taking part in Wednesday's drill was the mass casualty AMBUS, which was touring local hospitals on Tuesday. In the event of a catastrophic situation, medical personnel from the base and local hospitals would use the bus to treat patients.
