TAMUK Hosts Engineering Challenges for Coastal Bend Students
KINGSVILLE (Kiii News) -
This week is National Engineering Week, and to help inspire students to get into the engineering field, Texas A&M-Kingsville is hosting various schools from around the Coastal Bend.
On Wednesday, Sinton and Bishop middle schools were on the TAMUK campus getting to compete in a couple of engineering challenges. One of those challenges involved building a paper bridge than can hold 10 pounds.
"Yeah, it was pretty fun," Sinton eighth-grader Isaac Martinez said. "It took a lot, but it worked."
A total of 20 Coastal Bend schools will be participating in different engineering challenges at TAMUK throughout the week.
