Volunteers Show up in Force to Foster Abandoned Puppies

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

It was just Friday that we reported on a litter of puppies discovered on the side of the road, and tonight, some hopeful news came from Animal Care Services.

We are happy to report all seven puppies have found a foster family.

After our report Friday night, several people stopped by Animal Control on Holly Road. Animal Control reports that 15 people applied to become foster families.

Earlier in the week, Animal Control responded to reports of a pack of stray dogs in which another set of puppies was discovered. Unfortunately, because they did not have enough personnel to properly care for them, they were forced to put them down.

Officials there hope to create a database of the volunteers for future pups, dogs and cats who need extra care. They could always use more help. If you would like to apply, just stop by their offices at 2626 Holly Road
