As you can imagine, with many downed power lines as a result of Monday's winds, there were quite a number of power outages in the area.
In fact, at peak outage time, which was around 2:15 p.m., there were over 5,500 customers without power, including folks in the Greenwood and Old Brownsville Road areas.
As of 6 p.m., there were still over 3,400 customers without power in Nueces County.
