CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

It is that time of the year again. A local radio station, KLUX, is kicking off an on-air fundraiser, asking the public to help keep the radio station up and running.

"We ask for the support of our audience for operational funding," said Marty Wind, director of communications for the Diocese of Corpus Christi.

The event started Monday and continues all week. Listeners will hear local dignitaries, guests and station personalities making appeals and taking pledges from listeners.

The goal for this year is $75,000.

Contributions can be made by calling the campaign line at 361-289-6437.
