Gymnasium at Moody Named in Honor of Larry Elizondo, Sr.

It was a big day for one well-known alumnus of Moody High School on Thursday. The gym at Moody was formally named the Larry R. Elizondo, Sr., Gymnasium.

Elizondo is a former three-term City Councilman. He also served as a Corpus Christi Independent School District trustee. He said Thursday was a dream come true.

Also, Mayor Nelda Martinez declared Thursday Larry Elizondo Day here in Corpus Christi.
