Occurred on 3/3/13, 7:24pm  Robbery 5202 IH 37

Officers responded to the convenience store located at 5202 IH 37 for a robbery which occurred inside the store.  The 35-year-old man told Officers he was standing in line to pay for gas when Osbaldo Osorio, 28, walked up to the victim and robbed him.  Osorio punched the victim in the back of his head and took the victim's money.

Osorio fled with Gill Javier Contreras, 31, and Juan Tomas Alvarez Hernandez, 26, in a green pick-up truck.  Senior Officer A. Garcia checked the neighborhoods close to the convenience store and found the green truck at 1266 Manchester.

Officers rushed to the home and found a large crowd surrounding Officers Garcia and K. Abbott as they attempted to detain Osorio.

Contreras, Hernandez, and Osorio were eventually detained and taken to a neutral location where they were positively identified by both the victim and a store employee.  The victim refused medical treatment and his money returned to him.

Osorio, Contreras, and Hernandez were all arrested and charged with Robbery as well as Resisting Arrest.  Lt. J. Clement credits Senior Officer Garcia's "excellent observation skills" led to the location and arrest of the three robbery suspects.
