The competition was tough, the weather was cold, but the NJROTC kids from Flour Bluff persevered and won the Navy State Champions for the 19th year in a row.
"Towards the end, once we looked over at our table and we had all first place trophies, we realized we had it," Battalion Commander Kirsten Pachero said.
The team won firs place in all nine categories.
The students have been preparing since August and the work has only just begun.
"I'm just generally really proud of everybody because I can look around and I can see all the hard work every has put into this," Colin O'Brien, Senior, said.
"I knew we had something special this year. We had a very well rounded team," Commander Armando Solis said.
The national championships are in Daytona, Florida where they will compete against the ROTC programs for the Marines, Air Force and the Navy.
