Last week, it was reported that some of the first local affects of the sequester budget cuts could be the cancellation of the famous Blue Angels Air Show held every year.
Well, on Tuesday, that cancellation was made official.
Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi, which was to host the show this year, announced that it has indeed been canceled. In fact, all Blue Angel Air Shows scheduled for April have been canceled.
The air show traditionally brings in tens of thousands of spectators, and the hope is that it will encourage young men and women to sign up for careers in military aviation.
