Law Enforcement Gearing Up for Spring Break with Beach Cams

3 News continues to monitor South Texas law enforcement efforts to keep spring breakers safe.

In Corpus Christi, police will once again use beach cameras to monitor crowds on the beach.

Street cams will follow traffic flow.

All of these images will broadcast live to the emergency operations center.

Additional officers will patrol beaches as well.

New this year, crime stoppers is offering money to anyone who reports underage drinking.

"For each event we will pay out $250 cash and that's by the Crime Stoppers organizations, driven by donations, no tax dollars goes into that," Senior Officer Kirk Stowers said.

Senior Officer Kirk Stowers says the campaign is underway and will run through June 10.
