CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
It is a fair bet that many college students are thinking about life after graduation, and commencement ceremonies are approaching fast.
That is why students showed up for a career fair on Wednesday at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. More than 60 companies took part in the event at the Lone Star Ballroom on campus.
Kiii-TV Channel 3 had a booth setup inside, as did Whataburger and a security company called G4S.
Johana Ruiz, a senior at TAMUCC who says she speaks four languages, is graduating in December, and she attended Wednesday's career fair.
"I'm looking for an internship during spring and hopefully afterward I can be relocated for something full-time," Ruiz said.
The university estimated that some 500 students and alumni showed for Wednesday's career fair.
