CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A local animal shelter and jeweler coming together to help a family who lost everything.

This was the fire that destroyed Ken and Karen Starr's home back in January.

The Annaville home is a total loss.

Karen suffered severe burns after she went back inside the house to rescue her cats.

So now, the Gulf Coast Humane Society and Denny Bale of Denny Bale's Diamonds are teaming up to raffle off a diamond.

"18 carat, white gold, lady's ring featuring 4.3 carats in pave set diamonds. The ring is worth over $11,000," said Harold Bennett, Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Raffle proceeds will go to the Starrs family.

You can purchase a $25 raffle ticket either at the Gulf coast Humane Society or at Denny Bales Diamonds.
