An arrest has been made in connection with a stolen vintage 1940 Cadillac, which was taken from an Alice business on Monday.
The Alice Police Department arrested 21-year old Edmon Daniel Hawks of Alice on Friday. Hawks has been charged with burglary of a building and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
According to Alice police, a caller told them they had seen the stolen vehicle at a Valero gas station Monday in Calallen. That information was followed up on, and Alice police were able to identify their suspect.
The vintage vehicle was stolen Monday from a business on the 1400 block of East Main Street in Alice. It was later found unattended in some brush behind a business on the 1500 block of West Front Street.
Hawks is currently being held in the Jim Wells County Jail awaiting magistration.
