CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A brutal attack overnight Sunday where a man was stabbed at least eight times as he slept. This happening around 12:30 Sunday morning in the 5400 block of Leopard near NPID.

Officers say a homeless man was sleeping near the Pocket's Billiards when another homeless man began stabbing him. The victim was taken to Spohn Memorial but is expected to be okay.

The attacker rode away on a bike but police quickly caught up with him and he's now in jail. Police believe the whole incident was a one sided battle over sleeping grounds.
