A cab ride turned scary for two passengers early Sunday morning but the passengers turned the tables on their would be robber. It started just before 4 a.m. as two passengers were sitting in a cab waiting for their food at the Whataburger on Texan Trail and Alameda. As the two men and cab driver were waiting, they were approached by a white male and white female. Video captures the robber's face as he argues with the man after demanding his cell phone. Officer Gilbert Cantu explains what happened next, "they demanded the back seat passengers phone, but the back seat passenger refused to give them the phone. The offenders displayed a weapon, a small handgun. After the passenger refused to give them the phone, the subjects took off running. Were still trying to locate the subjects." The cab company says no one was hurt despite the robber actually grabbing the passengers phone trying to rip it out of his hands.
