CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Police catch up with a wanted fugitive but not before the suspect tried to get away. Just after ten Sunday morning, officers went to the 2500 block of Dewberry near Wooldridge where they tracked down the suspect to a friends apartment.  No one answered, that's because the suspect and his friend were trying to drive away in car. Lt. John Hooper said, "he started to stop bailed out of the car, left the car running the car crashed into the fire hydrant, he went back into the apartment complex." The man was taken into custody for the crash, driving with a suspended license, and for the original warrant. The man's friend was also arrested for harboring a fugitive.
