Texas State Aquarium Missing Bird, Needs Your Help

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Texas State Aquarium needs your help this morning to find a missing bird.

Here's a picture of Piper.

Piper is a Trumpter Horn-Bill.  The bird was caught by Saturday's strong winds during a training session.

So far, the staff at the aquarium has not been able to locate her.

"She's probably sitting in a tree somewhere. It's probably just hunkered down for the most part. If you do see it, that's where it'll be. It'll most likely not be on the ground," Jesse Gilbert said. "It's  a heavier body than the Grackle or some of the other black birds that we have here locally in town. If you see it, give the aquarium a call."

Piper came to the aquarium in 2007.

Call the aquarium at 881-1215 if you happen to spot Piper.
