March is Women's History Month, and the YWCA is celebrating by inspiring young girls to become great leaders.
Our very own Kiii Meteorologist Kristin Diaz was there at the YWCA on Corona, speaking to fourth and fifth-grade girls about the benefits of a great education.
"If we want to get a good education, we have to go to school, college, and get our degree," said Bethany Dorantes, a student at the speaking event. "My dream is to be an ocean biologist."
"I want to go to college and get my degree so I can be an O/B," said Bianca Rocha, another student.
The YWCA hosts events like this all in the hopes of creating confident, productive young women.
