FALFURRIAS (Kiii News) -
A tractor trailer carrying produce overturned outside of a ranch early Tuesday morning on Highway 285, about 11 miles outside of Falfurrias.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. The driver of the tractor trailer allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, which led to the rollover, spilling a large quantity of green onions, radishes, cilantro and other items along the side of the road.
Crews were still cleaning up the mess well into Tuesday afternoon.
The tractor trailer was on it's way from Mexico to Houston. Both the driver and his father were in the vehicle at the time of the accident, but both of them are okay.
