It is not just the beach where police are making their presence known this Spring Break. Officers were busy right here in the heart of town.

Corpus Christi Police Department officers were at SPID and Everhart Tuesday conducting a seat belt and insurance check. In a short time, there were quite a few violators.

Police said they are just making sure motorist keep it safe during this Spring Break.

As a reminder, that state law also applies to car seats. If your toddler is not buckled correctly, you could be cited.
