CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A pair of NJROTC students from Flour Bluff will get to compete against other students in our nation's capitol, thanks to the generosity of the community.
"We're going to be competing in sort of a network security type of event, where we are trying to secure a network of computers against an outside attack," said Colin O'Brien, one of those competitors from Flour Bluff High School.
O'Brien and Josiah Anderson have been selected to compete in the event called Cyber Patriot. The U.S. Air Force created the challenge to help prevent hackers from breaching the nation's most secure cyber systems.
O'Brien and Anderson are just one of the 11 teams attending the weekend competition.
