Grab your hat and dust off your boots, climb into your best western gear and two-step into the rustic elegance of the 27th annual Cattle Baron's Ball!
KIII-TV is proud to be a part of the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. March 23 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown.
Over the last 26 years, the Cattle Baron's Ball has raised over $5 million to fund area programs for cancer patients and their families, as well as life-saving research. In 2012, the American Cancer Society's (ACS) Patron Party raised over $300,000.
This year's event, "A Texas Good Time with a Cure in Mind," is hosted by Laurie Ramirez and Lori Dellinger, and will be held at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown from 6:30 p.m.-midnight on March 23. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
The late Dr. B.F. Rothschild, M.D., will be honored at the 2013 Cattle Baron's Ball. In memory of Dr. Rothschild, a portion of the proceeds will fund Multiple Myeloma Research.
The Cattle Baron's Ball will feature food by Don Strange Catering with live music from Texas Country Artist, Wade Bowen. Highlights include dancing, a margarita tasting competition, pig races and a wine color wheel. The event will also include amazing auction items with opportunities to win a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Port Aransas Offshore Package, Pediatric Cancer Survivors Artwork and a special Wade Bowen experience package.
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem through research, education, advocacy, and service to those who are impacted by the disease.
