Local Non-Profits Receive "Community Garden" Grant

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

12 Coastal Bend non-profits received $500 each for setting green initiatives.

The mayor's "Fitness Council" assigned the money through the "Community Garden" grant.

Recipients say the money will help with tools, seeds and other garden projects.

Students at Luther Jones were on hand to receive on the grants and say this money will provide food.
