Accion Texas Gives Out Small Business Loans in Corpus Christi

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A non-profit organization was hitting up local businesses on Thursday, but they were not asking for a handout. Instead, they were trying to give away money.

Accion Texas is a non-profit who gives low interest loans to small businesses. In the Six Points area, small business owners were asked if they needed a small business loan.

The loans can range from $5,000 to $75,000. They can help a business owner buy new equipment, or even expand their business.

"Accion Texas is able to provide them with working capitol," said Sylvia Ford, director of Accion Texas Corpus Christi. "In most situations, the startup business, or a business that has had some financial problems, cannot get any funding for their business through commercial sources."

You can check out the Accion Texas website at www.acciontexas.org, or call 1-888-215-2373 for more information.
