Fire at Abandoned House Prompts Investigation - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire at an abandoned house on the city's south side.

Crews arrived at Dusty Dawn Road near Crosstimbers Drive to find smoke and flames coming from the home around 9:30 last night.

Residents say vagrants have been known to stay inside.

Firefighters did find charred "belongings."

No other nearby homes were damaged.

No one was hurt.
