Texas State Aquarium Hosts Beach Ball 2013

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Join Kiii-TV at the Texas State Aquarium on Friday, April 12, for another fabulous Beach Ball event!

The attire is always "beach chic" - Hawaiian shirts, khakis, whatever is fun, festive and comfortable. In addition to live, bid board and silent auctions, Beach Ball will feature incredible entertainment with Broadway star Franc D'Ambrosio.

D'Ambrosio is best known for his impressive portrayal of the 'Phantom' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award winning musical, "The Phantom of The Opera", and was awarded the distinction as the "World's Longest Running Phantom." D'Ambrosio's vibrant voice and talent has enabled a varied and amazing career, both on and off Broadway.

Net proceeds from Beach Ball 2013 will support a major renovation of the Aquarium's Nearshore Gallery. The existing exhibit will be completely transformed, with plans including: raised ceilings with more natural light; more terrestrial animals, birds, and freshwater fish; audio and visual additions for a more immersive experience; more native flora, and a walkway with birds on each side that soar overhead!

The evening will start with a silent auction followed by dinner in a Texas-sized tent and a brief live auction. The remainder of the evening will be open for dancing and mingling.

Individual tickets are $250 and tables start at $2,500 for a table of ten with Sand Dollar Donor recognition. Shorebird Sponsors ($5,000) and higher are also invited to attend the exclusive Sponsor Reception and Private Dolphin Show.
