Judge Approves Mental Evaluation for Murder Suspect
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
The man accused of killing his grandmother and burying her in her backyard was back in court on Tuesday. The attorney for 28-year old David Christy asked the court to order a mental evaluation for his client.
It was back in early February when the body of 77-year old Johanna Christy was discovered dismembered and buried in her backyard. Her grandson, David Christy, was arrested and charged with murder.
At Tuesday's hearing, Judge Nanette Hasette agreed to the request for a mental evaluation. There has been no word yet on when that evaluation will take place.
