Three dead after overnight shooting

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Three people are dead following a shooting at McMillan Park on Wednesday night, according to Lake Charles Police.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. at McMillan Park on Goos Boulevard. Authorities said earlier that at least four people were shot.

It wasn't known Thursday morning what exactly happened or who was involved.

Lake Charles Police Chief Don Dixon has scheduled a 4 p.m. press conference to give details on the incident.
