Woman Charged for DWI in Active School Zone

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A 39-year old woman is in jail after she was caught allegedly driving drunk in a school zone Wednesday afternoon on the 14200 block of Encantada Avenue.

Police said 39-year old Amy Woods was traveling 25 miles per hour in a 15 mile per hour active school zone. The officer that conducted a traffic stop noticed Woods was intoxicated.

The black vehicle she was driving was impounded, and Woods was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
