Posted:

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested after leading Vidor police officers on a short chase Wednesday night.

It happened just after 10 p.m.  Vidor Police Sergeant Ken Bost said the teen ran a stop sign at Morgan Drive and Claiborne Street. She then fled from police when they attempted to pull her over.

Speeds reached up to 100 miles per hour during the short chase which ended in the 800 block of the Interstate 10 West service road when she hit a road sign.

The girl, who is not identified because of her age, is from Katy, Texas.  She was arrested and charged with evading arrest.
