As a life long resident of South Texas, Robert Moore has been dedicated to the health and well being of Coastal Bend residents for more than three decades.
Robert graduated from Sinton High School in Sinton, Texas in 1981 and the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in Austin in 1987. He followed in his father, Bill Moore's, footsteps who graduated from the same school in 1957. Upon graduating, Robert went to work at Moore's Pharmacy in Sinton - a store his father opened in 1965. In 1992 they purchased McKennon's City Drug in Beeville and renamed it Moore's City Drug.
In July 2004, they opened Moore's Compounding Pharmacy & Wellness Centers in Corpus Christi. This location allowed Moore's to continue its specialty in compounding areas such as pain management, hospice care, veterinary medicine and sterile compounding.
Over the past decade, Robert's greatest health passion has been in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for men and women, as well as the well being of both adults and children through nutrition, supplements, dieting and overall healthy choices. Currently, he is pursuing an extensive five-year fellowship and board certification from the American Board of Anti-Aging, a unique certification aimed at defying age through healthy living.
Robert has spent his entire professional life being a part of an independent pharmacy and working on its behalf at the local, state and national level. He continually speaks to pharmacists, physicians and healthcare organizations in the U.S. and around the globe. In 2007, Robert earned the Texas Pharmaceutical Association's Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award. In addition, the Professional Compounding Centers of America recognized Robert nationally as Pharmacist of the Month for June 2011.
