Deal Finalized to Sell Remaining Portion of Naval Station Ingleside

INGLESIDE (Kiii News) -

Corpus Christi Port Commissioners finalized a deal on Tuesday to sell the last remaining portion of what used to be Naval Station Ingleside.

The vote was unanimous, approving a deal with Oxy-Ingleside Energy Center, a division of Oxy-Chem. Back in November of 2012, the company bought the majority of the property for $82 million.

No financial terms were announced on Tuesday's deal, which is for the so-called "campus portion" of the former base. Oxy reportedly plans on using the property to expand their operations in the region.
