A Beaumont man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for two bank robberies in west Beaumont.
Jonathan Keith Roberts, 39, of Beaumont, pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery and brandishing a firearm. P
prosecutors say Roberts got away with more than $29,000 after robbing the BBVA Compass Bank on Phelan Boulevard in December 2009. Roberts was also accused of using a gun while robbing the Guaranty Bank on Interstate 10 in January of 2010.
