CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A district judge said she will let Kingsville Independent School District board member Rudy Macareno explain in court why he should not remain in jail until his trial.

Macareno was arrested again on Wednesday after his bond was revoked. He had been free on bond while he awaited a trial on charges of aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child.

According to court documents, Macareno violated his bond conditions by having an unsupervised visit with his own son.

A hearing has been set before Judge Angelica Hernandez on May 29. Macareno will have to remain in the Kleberg County Jail until then.
