CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
We have new information on the parents who were arrested Saturday after police say the couple's four children were found malnourished and living in an SUV. One of those children, a new born baby--remains in critical condition. 22-year old Heather Sanders and 26-year old Ryan Sanders are both facing charges of injury to a child. The investigation started after the couple brought their new born baby to the hospital, which they say was born on the beach just a few days ago. There were 3 other children with the parents who also appeared to be malnourished. Those children, ages 4, 3, and a one year old were also admitted to Driscoll Children's Hospital.
Police say the family is from South Carolina and is homeless. They had been living out of their SUV on the beach. Both parents remain in jail with a 300-thousand dollar bond each. CPS has taken custody of the children.
