12th Annual Nautical Flea Market at Rockport Harbor this Weekend

ROCKPORT (Kiii News) -

If you are a lover of the sea, you might be interested in an event going on in Rockport this weekend -- the 12th annual Nautical Flea Market.

It kicks off Saturday morning at Rockport Harbor, by the Texas State Aquarium, and vendors have already begun setting up.

The Rockport Yacht Club got the idea from Florida, and since they brought it to Rockport, it has grown over the years. The event features 100 vendors from all over, and the flea market draws more than 3,000 people and offers a wide range of nautical items.

"Some really unique items, to regular things," said Bill Coxwell of the Rockport Yacht Club. "But there's some real treasures hidden away. A lot of non-profits come and do it. Churches, they get products from their membership, and you know, they use it for a money making event for them."

The one of a kind flea market will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.
