John Kroll, a Navy Seabee who was severely injured in a helicopter crash in Iraq, has been living in a PTSD homeless shelter in Houston called Camp Hope; but on Tuesday, he was given a new home.
The King family in Rockport had a home they wanted to donate to a veteran. The family contacted the Wounded Warriors program and Operation FINALLY HOME, a non-profit organization that aims to provide mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans. Those organization in turn put the family in touch with Kroll.
On Tuesday, Kroll was escorted to his new home in Rockport by the Patriot Guard Riders. We'll have more on 3News tonight.
