Port Arthur's incumbent Mayor Deloris "Bobbi" Prince won a third term Saturday, defeating two other candidates. She finished with 1,751 votes while her closest competitor Harold Doucet had 1,390 votes. Lowra Reado-Harrison had 91 votes.
Term limits prevent Mayor Prince from running for a fourth consecutive term.
City Secretary Sherri Bellard tells 12News voter turnout was strong Saturday, saying it was the best turnout they had in the 16 years she had worked with the city.
