Area Residents Vote on a Mayor's Race, and School Bond Issues
Here's a look at some of the area Election Result from Saturday night.
In Port Aransas, voters approved a $3.5 million dollar bond issue with 405 votes "for" and 120 votes "against." The bond will help pay for much needed repairs to Port Aransas ISD facilities.
In Alice, voters decided who would take over the mayor's seat. Mayor John Lemon did not seek re-election there. Saturday night voters put Larry Martinez in that seat, he came out on top with 55 percent of the votes.
And more big news in Flour Bluff where a $48 million dollar school bond was given the green light by voters. It passed with 279 votes.
