Benavides Man Arrested for Stabbing

A Benavides man is facing some serious charges after police say he stabbed another man in the stomach not once, but twice. Police arrested 25-year old Juan Guajardo. The crime happened on the 400 block of School Street in Benavides. Police say the suspect and the victim were arguing when it escalated and Guajardo stabbed the victim in the stomach. The victim was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice. He's expected to be okay. As for the suspect, he's now in jail and is facing aggravated assault charges.
