Posted: Updated:
ALICE (Kiii News) -

The Alice Police Department says they've identified the adults involved in a video showing two teenage girls fighting. Police met with prosecutors Wednesday to decide what charges the adults seen in that video encouraging the fight will face.

Chief Randy Weems says they're entertaining charges ranging from harassment, to terroristic threats, to enticing of a child, to disorderly conduct. They're even looking at rioting.

The two teens in the video have already been arrested and charged with disturbing the peace. The older girl is 17-year old Maria Garza. The other girl is 15 years old.

Police say the fight between the two girls is the result of a feud between two families. The chief says that the feud is he said, she said dispute that has been going on for between one to two years, depending on which version of events from the families they listen to. As to that history, police are trying to determine what is actually factual. Police are focusing on is this fight that took place in an ally in Alice on Monday.

Chief Randy Weems, Alice Police Department, says, "Two girls fighting is bad enough, but to have two families having something fester so long that basically puts their children in an alley, it's a terrible thing, and ah you know shame on the adults that were there."

The chief anticipates that they'll have some protective orders put in place that will dictate what these families can do and can't do around each other. Police will also be working with the schools to address this issue and take some action.

Chief Weems says this type of behavior is not acceptable on the streets or in the schools.

The chief expects an answer Thursday from prosecutors on what the best charges are, and how to proceed with the case.
