$5,000 Check Presented to Women's Shelter of South Texas

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

$5,000 was handed over Thursday to a non-profit group that helps victims of domestic violence.

People from the Aaron's Rent-a-Center business donated a check to the non-profit group.

The Women's Shelter of South Texas serves 12 counties in the Coastal Bend. They say the money will be used to help victims of domestic violence.

Francis Wilson, Women's Shelter of South Texas, says,"We want to keep those quality service free of charge for victims. In order to leave a life of violence."

John Brown, Aaron's Corp., says,"I feel prideful that we were able to help this way, I feel like insufficient still."
