Staying fit during the summer months can be hard for many kids out of school. That's where one local program comes in.
The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a latchkey summer camp with a special emphasis on physical education.
On Friday, kids were over at Wilson Elementary going through various obstacle courses, including running through tires and crawling through boxes. The hope is by adding some fun to a workout, the kids will be more likely to stay healthy as they grow older.
