CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi announced Tuesday that they will be fencing off part of University Beach to protect nesting birds that have taken up residence there.

The west end of the beach will be closed off so the birds, known as least terns, can continue to live there uninterrupted as they finish their final month of nesting.
