CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

2,000-plus spectators lined Shoreline Boulevard Thursday morning to watch the official City of Corpus Christi July Fourth parade.

Decorated vehicles, floats and various marching bands entertained the crowds on a sunny holiday morning. Kiii News Anchor Jane Monreal was there riding in a Channel 3 news vehicle and posed for a picture with a group of young men and women reliving history as they led the parade that began near the American Bank Center. Crowds lined the route all the way to McCaughan Park, the site of the old Coliseum.

Kiii's MeTV van was an official entry in the parade. 3News Meteorologist Alan Holt was there after he spent the morning aboard the U.S.S. Lexington broadcasting Live on Kiii First Edition and MeTV First Edition, showing the preps going on for the night's Big Bang Fireworks Extravaganza.

The Harbor Bridge light show begins at 9:15 p.m., and the fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
