Suspect on the Loose After Crashing Stolen Vehicle in Rockport

ROCKPORT (Kiii News) -

Police are searching for a suspect who took off running after a rollover accident that happened along FM 1069 in Rockport Friday morning.

Witnesses said they spotted an Audi that was reported stolen Thursday night along FM 1069 going 80-100 miles per hour before it crashed into two culverts and a telephone pole. The rear axle of the vehicle completely broke off.

The two passengers took off from the scene on foot, and one was captured and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The other suspect is still on the loose.
