Medical Examiner Confirms Death of Harbor Bridge Jumper

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A man who was reportedly found floating in the Corpus Christi ship channel Sunday evening after jumping from the Harbor Bridge was confirmed dead by the Nueces County Medical Examiner on Monday.

Witnesses said they saw the man leave his truck at the top of the Harbor Bridge and then jump. It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Marina Patrol performed CPR as emergency crews rushed to meet them in front of the American Bank Center. Police said the man survived the fall and was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital; but on Monday it was confirmed that the man did pass away.
